Tomatillos


IN SEASON:  July, August, September
STORAGE: Store in husks at room temperature for 1 week or in husk in refrigerator for 3 weeks.  Can be frozen whole (minus the husks) for long-term preservation.
COOKING TIPS: Remove the husks and wash the sticky fruit.  Tomatillos don’t need to be cored or seeded.  Great in salsa, guacamole, and sauces.
