Hello from your Shared Bounty farmers! This week at the farm has been so pleasant. Most days there was a nice breeze that made August farming in the Midwest feel like paradise. The Japanese beetles and cucumber beetles seem to have almost disappeared, which is a big relief. These are the two pests we have struggled with the most, so far this season. The fall crops are really taking off, and our next planting of green beans will soon be ready to harvest. For those of you that have never had late summer/fall green beans you are in for a treat. They are simply the best! Enjoy all of the farm fresh veggies in this week’s cooler!
